Professor Eugen Trinka is Vice Medical Director of the Christian Doppler Klinik, University Hospital for the Paracelsus Medical University, in Salzburg (Austria). As Chair of the Department of Neurology he also leads the Adult Epileptology Department, accredited member of the ERN EpiCARE, demonstrating his commitment to advancing epilepsy care.

In addition to his academic and clinical roles, Prof. Trinka is the President Elect of the Austrian Society of Neurology. He previously served as President of the Austrian Chapter of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and Chair of the ILAE-Europe Executive Committee.

Pr. Trinka’s research interests encompass clinical epileptology, with a specific focus on epidemiology, prognosis, epilepsy surgery, and status epilepticus. His prolific contributions to the field are evidenced by over 480 scientific publications, underscoring his influence and dedication to epilepsy research.
